Committee on

Historic and Archaeological Preservation

in Transportation

Welcome to AME60!

The AME60 Committee of the Transportation Research Board (TRB) has been known by a few different names over the years—most recently ADC50—but what hasn’t changed is that we are historic preservation and archaeology professionals working on transportation projects. With members from all over the country, we work together to understand the way cultural resource regulations affect our projects. Much of what we do translates to research products published by the National Academies of Science; these help shape cultural resource work for years to come. We are excited to have you join in on the conversation. Even if you are not a member of the committee, you can become a friend through the TRB website and still find ways to support our work.

Every year, we participate in TRB’s Annual Meeting, typically held in Washington, D.C. in January. We also hold a mid-year meeting focused on topics important to our members and friends with hopes they will have applicability for those in public and private sectors, including our partners in preservation organizations. Just as we did in 2020, we will host the 2021 mid-year meeting through a virtual platform. Visit the conference page for more information.

Thank you,

Mary Alfson Tinsman, AME60 Chair
